Going up to London with Angharad tomorrow for a long weekend. We’ve a full itinerary planned:

  • Tomorrow - Lunchtime train and then check in at The DoubleTree Westminster. We’ve stayed there before (when it was part of the City Inn chain. The rooms are quite nice, with iMacs instead of TVs, and it’s close to where we need to be Saturday. Drop the bags off and then over to Kinoko Cycles to say goodbye (still can’t believe it’s closing at the end of this month. Perhaps pick up some bargains in the sale. In the evening over to Brixton to meet our friend Perry. Craft beers and food at The Crown & Anchor and more craft beer at The Craft Beer Co.’s Brixton branch

  • Saturday - Over to Tally Ho! Cycle to pick up our tandem and on to The Prudential FreeCycle. Meet Perry en route then lots of cycle fun (plus craft beer and food no doubt!).

  • Sunday - Leisurely brunch at the hotel then off to the V&A for the Wedding Dresses 1775-2014 exhibition (there’s got to be give and take in all relationships). Train home late afternoon.

Then back to work Monday :-( But only 2 weeks until Brooklyn!

looks like Pimlico for beer & food tonight, Brixton Saturday night

Another new bike shop for me to check out. Won’t replace Kinoko in my heart though.

Bloody hell Kinoko are closing their store.

Quite fancy one of these. Angharad and I could share.

Ally Capellino

Made from navy waxed nylon, Ally Capellino’s Bags for Bikes are lightweight and practical for week or weekend and recognisably from the AC stable. Both rucksack and pannier have reflective strips and can fit your tech equipment as well as the usual day-to-day necessaries. Leather zip pulls and a zingy blue lining make for the finishing touches. Pop in to the store to take a closer look.
